You will find the ABSM prevention course in the library of the 7Mind mobile app under the category "Prävention" as soon as you have subscribed to the certified prevention course or activated the free BARMER 12-months-subscription. Our prevention courses are only available in German.
The ZPP-certified ABSM course is visually separated from the non-certified 7Mind Plus content. You can optionally display the non-certified 7Mind content with a few clicks within the app.
In the ABSM course, you can expect a lot of information related to stress, relaxation, and mindfulness, as well as practical exercises in order to better deal with stress.
There are 8 modules of about 60 minutes each, which combine practical meditation with theory. The theory includes topics such as individual stress experience, use of inner resources, self-compassion, dealing with difficulties, and relaxed goal setting.
The individual modules are accompanied by emails with background information, written tasks, and quizzes for self-examination. After each completed module, you will receive an email with a corresponding handout, a worksheet, and a link to the quiz.
The duration of the ABSM course is 8 weeks - each week a new module will be unlocked, given that the prior one has been completed.
Please note: The ABSM modules cannot be scrubbed and must be listened to in full and closed by clicking on "End Meditation" to be scored correctly.
Your health insurance company says it does not reimburse the ABSM course?
Unfortunately, some health insurance companies do not update their prevention offers regularly. Statutory health insurance companies in Germany joined the "Zentrale Prüfstelle für Prävention in Deutschland" (ZPP) and thus follow its offers. If you ask your insurer if they subsidize ZPP-certified courses, they will surely be able to confirm this.
The ABSM course is listed as follows at the ZPP:
"Onlinekurs Achtsamkeitsbasiertes Stressmanagement mit 7Mind"
Course ID: KU-ST-NAKHWV (until Dec 4th, 2021: KU-ST-Y4D4YT)
Course instructor: René Träder
After completing the ABSM course we will issue a certificate of participation for you, which you can submit along with the invoice in order to have it reimbursed.
-----
Please also note the health requirements for participation in the ABSM course.
The health requirements for the ABSM course have been defined by the ZPP (Zentrale Prüfstelle für Prävention). The basic idea is that a prevention course should not be used in order to treat diseases/disorders, as it is a course designed to prevent certain diseases. The main purpose behind this, is to rule out the possibility of someone trying to use the course to treat themselves without seeking professional help. If you are unsure about this, it is better to consult your doctor or therapist before meditating with 7Mind. Also, feel free to read our article on Meditation and Mental Health.
